Reasonable Accommodation Consultancy
Ability Focus provides specialist reasonable accommodation consultancy services to the civil and public sector, multinational organisations and private sector employers across Ireland. We work closely with HR professionals, Disability Liaison Officers (DLOs), Access Teams and line managers to support the development of inclusive workplace practices and effective employee supports.
A key focus of our consultancy work is the development and implementation of reasonable accommodation policies, procedures and workplace frameworks. We support organisations in embedding best practice approaches that promote accessibility, inclusion and positive employee experiences. Ability Focus acts in a consultancy capacity to government bodies and many of Ireland’s leading public, state and private sector organisations in the area of reasonable accommodation and workplace inclusion.

Reasonable Accommodation Policies
The reasonable accommodation process or ‘procedural aspect to reasonable accommodation’ is a key component in the provision of effective supports for workplace colleagues and valued customers.
We ensure that Reasonable Accommodation Policies are formatted with a focus on ensuring organisation wide knowledge of the reasonable accommodation process. We work with HR teams and line managers to ensure continuity of approach across your organisation. Consultancy supports focus on creating greater awareness of ‘what constitutes knowledge of a disability’, ‘shared responsibility’ and disproportionate burden.

ELearning Programme Development – Subject Matter Experts
The Ability Focus team act as Subject Matter Experts for organisations who are developing organisation specific eLearning Disability Awareness Training Programmes.
We work with in-house L&D Teams and external eLearning agencies to advise on appropriate content when developing programmes for colleagues, advising on programme content, appropriate language use, structure, flow and imagery while ensuring all key learning touchpoints are delivered for your organisation specific eLearning programme.
