Client Profile: National Concert Hall
At Ability Focus we probably don't spend enough time on our news items, and should have started this quite some time ago, but as of this week we will be profiling progressive organisations we have really enjoyed working with this year. Hopefully every ten days or so (or whenever we have time!) we will select an organisation from either public or private sector and give a brief overview of our programme.
The first client we will profile is The National Concert Hall.
The National Concert Hall is a national cultural institution and the designated home of music in Ireland. Located in iconic buildings in stunning Earlsfort Terrace the NCH has been delivering world class performances on stage and now online for over forty years. As well as delivering world class performances, the NCH is a hub for some of the most influential and innovative music organisations in Ireland.
Ability Focus partnered with the National Concert Hall to deliver Live Online Disability Awareness Training to participants from the management team focusing on a number of areas such as communication, disability etiquette, legislation and reasonable accommodation.
This training was delivered at four x 1-hour live online sessions and was very interactive in its delivery. All participants who committed to the programme showed such a genuine interest in creating greater awareness not only for their roles within the NCH, but for implementation in their personal lives outside of work also.
The National Concert Hall really stands out as an organisation which truly embraced the training programme with continual questions throughout training, plenty of feedback and good conversations on disability awareness after each session.
I would like to thank the NCH Head of Personnel & Operations, Barry Walsh and the team for such an enjoyable training programme and such a kind testimonial.
"The National Concert Hall Operations team undertook Disability Awareness Training on Zoom with Ability Focus. Each module proved to be engaging, thought provoking and informative.
The NCH prides itself on outstanding customer service and world class music, Ability Focus proved that they too can hit all the right notes"
