Disability Awareness Supports - Every little helps!
At Ability Focus, we are proud to say that we have been doing our bit to help those who require work related assistance during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Since we offered our free services through Linkedin, email and other channels a number of weeks ago, we have been working with several organisations to assist them and their staff members with disabilities with change management during this difficult time.
We were contacted by companies who have mainly required assistance in ensuring effective supports for staff members with disabilities who are now required to work from home. We also helped one company in the hospitality industry who had to temporarily lay off staff members and were concerned about the effect it was having on a particular employee.
We know it's not exactly front-line stuff, but we're happy to do our little bit and help in any way we can. Our absolute admiration and heartfelt respect go out to all those working in hospitals and care homes, as well as Gardai, firefighters, retail workers and delivery drivers. Without them, our country would cease to function.
If any employers need advice or assistance when it comes to supporting staff members with a disability we are happy to help in any way we can. We can help with:
• Supporting companies and staff members with disabilities who may be faced with temporary closure.
• Advising companies on work from home reasonable accommodations.
• Supporting companies who have employees with disabilities that may find this time particularly challenging in work.
• Temporary and/or long term reasonable accommodations.
• Effective communication and overall supports for staff members with a disability during this challenging time.
Just get in touch and we'll do our best to help!
