Client Profile Series: Week 3 CNP Santander Insurance
In the third instalment of our Client Profile Series for 2022 we profile CNP Santander Insurance.
CNP Santander Insurance is a joint venture international insurance company established in Ireland and operating with authorisation by the Central Bank of Ireland since 2011. The business designs and manages insurance products for customers in twelve European countries and was voted one of Ireland's Best Workplaces in 2018.
In late 2021 Ability Focus were contacted by Graeme Morrison, Strategic Development Manager at CNP Santander Insurance with a view to looking at delivery of an impactful disability awareness training programme across the business. Graeme is also the chair of the CSR committee and one of the founding members of the CNP Santander Insurance Diversity & Inclusion Taskforce. As soon as we started working with Graeme and the team it was obvious to us that the roll out of disability awareness training was to be done with purpose, vision and as a core part of their 2022 D&I strategy. Accessibility for both staff and customers of CNP Santander Insurance is vitally important and with this in mind an Accessibility Framework has been established to ensure greater efforts are made to provide access to all who wish to engage the company.
Graeme and the team placed disability awareness training at the centre of accessibility strategy and worked with Ability Focus to deliver disability awareness training to staff across the organisation through four high impact and contemporary disability training programmes.
Participants tuned in remotely and from head office and we were so impressed with the consistent interaction from each training group. Questions were continually asked, points were made, and stories shared. There was a genuine sense during each training delivery that this was a workplace who really were committed to ensuring that disability awareness training was more than just a 'box ticking' exercise. There was a confidence in knowledge, but also a confidence in acknowledging that for some, the knowledge isn't there, but the willingness to learn certainly is. This is always great to see at training.
We really enjoyed working with all training groups from CNP Santander Insurance and wish them the very best in their disability inclusion journey. We're looking forward to future collaborations with this hugely engaging group.
